I’ve just completed my first wikipedia contribution. The article is on bass drums and the section I focused my efforts on was specifically marching bass drums. This is an area in which I have many years experience. It culminated to this past summer with the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps , another article I’ll be contributing to this semester. A picture of my section from the summer has been inserted into the article.

I used to be in marching band as well, but I was on the snare drum. I have two sets though; a 7-piece Mapex and a Yamaha 9-piece. I really like the double-bass though and feel that the best/quickest solos are done on them. I think that its cool that you are on the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps as well.

Same here, I was in a marching band at my high school playing the sax. I had to quit 2 years in though, people don’t realize how much time goes into to practicing to get it down perfectly. Also is there any video of your corps on youtube? I’d like to check it out.
